Birth is so utterly unpredictable. This rang true for this sweet couple. They were delivering at Bay Area Birth Center which is a drive for me, and to top it off, they told me during rush hour that mama was 6 cm. I raced as fast I could to get to them, stressing that traffic would keep me from making THE moment. I arrived about an hour later and ended up spending the night waiting on this little guy to be ready to make his appearance. Mom was in such a trance from the pain, that it literally took until the next morning, after George was born, to truly acknowledge my presence.

I am so blessed to see how incredibly hard mom worked to bring him into the world and how dad did everything he could (was allowed to do) in order to support her. Thank you for trusting me to tell your story. George's story.
